OS2 for TE very, very soon now... final (?) testing later today.
Realistically, public release next week. This is not a promise but it's looking very likely. :)

Hello all;

I apologise for posting price info too soon... my original post was before pricing had been finalized for this upgrade. Once we determined the actual cost of labor and parts for factory service, we found that we must charge $145 for the full upgrade; this is the price listed on our website here.

This price is for the LPTE v2.01 hardware and firmware upgrade (plus calibration and 90-day warranty) performed here at the Moog factory in the USA. The price for this upgrade as performed by our international distributors will differ, as you are paying the distributor for their own labour to perform the hardware upgrades, and this cost of labour is determined by each distributor.

Kind regards, and my apologies for any confusion,

Amos

Amos,

Is the do-it-yourself memory upgrade still possible ? (I've sent you an e-mail about this point, maybe one of the 1200 upgrade questions in your mailbox).

Thanks,

ludo

I have contacted my local Moog distributor and am very happy to get this form of upgrade. The price is completely fair from my view.

I guess technically it is possible. The upgrade has been available for about a week I reckon. I wonder who's selling? :?

I guessed it seemed a tad dodgy to me.. but possible I guess.

Will there be a update for the TE via moogmusic.com eventually or ill it be strictly a physical alteration?

Right now, TE owners need to send their LP back to the factory, and all upgrades (hardware and software) are done there. TE owners are still waiting for a field upgrade option. The original TE hardware cannot handle OS 2, so all Tribute Editions must be upgraded. I would imagine that once(and if) a field upgrade has been made available, Moog will put a link to OS 2.00 on the product page.

And with that, I make my exit...before I make myself look completely stupid. :oops:
