I am trying to understand the Mp201. I want to know how easy it is to switch between pedal assignments. I can't really get it from the manual
my example, my four controllers in one patch could be:
midi CC1 for volume
midi CC2 filter frequency
CV to s/H frequency
CV to Ring mod frequency
if i am using the pedal for CC1 and i want to change to CC2, how many times would I need to hit a footswitch to get there?
then if I want to control the S/H speed and CC2 as the same time, like a morph, how many footswitches would it take?
then how many to get back to just controlling the CC1?
sorry if it seems stupid but I am really wondering how this predal could work on the fly in performance - maybe four individually assigned pedals woiuld be a lot quicker and more spontaneous?
MP201 practical question
If you have the unit in Quad mode, the most you would need right now is two foot taps (turn on the new channel by pressing its footswitch once; turn off the old channel by pressing its footswitch once).
There will be a new option for Quad mode in the next firmware which will allow switching from one channel to another with a single tap, so this should bring total spontaneity to the process.
To switch from single to quad mode, press switches 3 + 1 at once.

Happy Thanksgiving Amos and funkychorlton! I know for a fact that when one button mode comes out I too will be the proud owner of the MP-201...Just wish I could afford that Taurus.funkychorlton wrote:great amos. I think this one button mode will make the difference between me buying it and not!
4 separate pedals would cost the same or more and not give me all the voltage options
the sooner the better!
