Wow...unless I'm mistaken, it's already up to $1000 above list! Awesome looking bass. I'm sure it sounds even better than it looks!

Lessee... I got my 1979 Rick Mapleglo brand new back in summer 1980 (Worked all summer to get the Rick and a Korg MS-20. Still have them both!). I paid $700 for the bass guitar. And that was after being a complete rube (ME - How much for the bass? Him - How much do you have? Me-$700. Him - Gee, that happens to be the EXACT price!). Hey, I was 17 years old and quite naive! Point being: it's a fantastic bass, but anyone that would pay over three grand for one that's been routed out has more money than brains. IMHO  Oh, and to keep this on topic: I run the basses through an MF 101 and/or my Voyager.

Hey, you guys are sweet!

Rick Resource Forum appraised it at $2500.00 to $2800.00 with active electronic still on board.

It's now completely stocked out (minus the rout)! Other Rick players have agreed with me, that it's worth more than a low ball!

My starting bid is lower than the original appraised value and the "Buy It Now" is only there for the guy who just can't live without it! Other than that it's still just an auction.

IMO:(of course!) Even with the routing this Rick is in better shape than most others I've seen out there.

The bidding, or lack of, will tell me what is thought of this Rick.

Thanks

Garret

Since when did the Moog Forums get hijacked?
You have a sweet Rick, but is it a "Moog synthesizer"?
This is one step away from spam.
Flag it as OT at least...

Ya, Hey,

Sorry for the Off Thread Spam! :D

I'm selling this Rickebacker Bass to finance a Moog Synth rig for a Rush Tribute band I'm starting up.

The Cornerstones will be a Mini Moog Voyager RME, controlled by a Roland PK-5A, and a Moog Little Phatty Stage II.

I've been posting various things about Taurus Pedals VS Voyager RME and so on/so forth for about the last month.

This vision is just about to come clear!

It's gonna be AWESOME! We'll have to start calling you Chuck Norris from now on...or maybe Chuck Norris' cousin. (And the insanity continues...)

Why Chuck Norris?

I did just set up a Total Gym Ultra" in the house though!

http://www.moogmusic.com/forum/viewtopi ... c&start=15 This is where it all began...this post, along with several other threads throughout the forums, have fallen because of this ONE POST where I compared Kevin Lightner to Chuck Norris. Then it ran away. EricK, ColorForm, even Kevin Lightner, have all contributed to the insanity of Chuck Norris memes. Others, as well. At first, I attempted to stop it. Then I gave up and continued to mention Chuck Norris in as many places as possible.

Welcome to the forum. It used to be a nice place, but Chuck Norris roundhouse kicked it into oblivion. Hey, that should be my signature!

Hey,
I came into my musicianship as a Bass player and I have to say thats one nice looking bass. I have always like Rics but never played one. THey have always been too pricey for me.

Currently I have an Alvarez 4 with EMG (P&Js)

Jasmine 4 Acoustic Electric

But my baby is a Carvin LB75F 5 Fretless, solid Black.

I think I hear the mothership coming.

So did it sell? Or did Chuck Norris roundhouse kick the auction into oblivion? :?
