For sanity purposes, when backing up in SysEx Librarian the # of Msgs is 1...for a whole bank? I'm used to seeing 128 for a whole bank from other manufactures which makes sense since to me since it's a bank of patches 1-128, thus 128 Msgs.
Just want to be dead sure here. I'd flip if I lost all my patches.
Backing-Up Presets (SysEx Librarian)
Probably my bad for not being clear but no way was I suggesting you do something rash. I should have said, I've been using Sysex Librarian and I have swapped banks in and out multiple times with no problems. I only suggested you try one of yours yourself to give you peace of mind. Also I like to know that the data I backed up is error free before I tuck it away for later use. YMMV.

Yes. Its 18734 Byte long SysEx dump.monads wrote:...

If you wolud like to store each sound in a seperate SysEx dump, you need to activate the sound to dump and then dump the panel sound (149 Bytes long). Or write a little dump request 1 to 128 file and ply it back to the Voyager while recording its SysEx output. See the new 2.3 SysEx documentation.
This is one reason for me why I will get the upcoming Voyager bank and patch managing software.
Of cause, you may use a HexEditor to extract a single patch from a 128 sound dump. But this need some SysEx and Hex knowledge. And this isn't a basic thing for real musicians.
keep on turning these Moog knobs
