Hi guys
I'm no synthesizer or MIDI guru and this subject may have either come up before or be dead obvious to everyone but me, but can anyone tell me how I can record my performance on the Voyager touch screen into my MIDI sequencer (Cubase SX)?

Though I havn't used it yet try this:
Go to the the Edit Menu page 5 Item 1 named "T.S. Destinations" and select one of the possible T.S. dimensions (X, Y, A and Gate). Open it and use the cursor button to jump to the parameter named "MIDI CTRL NO.". Select off or 1-31 as sending MIDI CC by using the cursor buttons here.
But these numbers will be changing different aspects of the Voyager once you play recorded MIDI CCs back into it.
I think recording the straight audio performance while using the touch screen is way easier to do then to map the recorded MIDI CCs into the needed MIDI CC number's MSB and LSB messages.

Thanks Qwave. I was hoping there was a way to do it that didn't involve getting into CCs,LSBs & MSBs which is all getting way too boffiny for my humble abilities (actually many years ago when my brain was sharper I used to get into this stuff - maybe I just have to marshall my few remaining brain-cells....).
But why can't Moog make it more straight-forward, so that any old musician without a degree in MIDI programming can enjoy the benefits of recording the total performance?
Before I go - has anyone tried controlling the X & Y parameters using the likes of the Korg Kaos pad, or vice versa?

what else should the Voyager use to record the touch screen other then MIDI CCs and MSB and LSB?
CCs are fine, but they are limited to 128 different possible values (2 by the power of 7) per parameter due to the MIDI specs. And most parameters are stored and used with a far better possible value range then the 0 to 255 shown in the Voyagers display. I think most parameters are stored in 65536 possible values (2 by the power of 16). This need some special handling in terms of MIDI. But it will give you much better analog like sound. Without artifacts while turning one of these knobs or using the touch screen.

Hold on here, Continues Controllers are trasmitted through MSB and or LSB info when recording a knob parameter. The LSB just offers a finer degree of resolution. In this case the Voyager transmitts both. But the LSB really throws me. Lets say I'm recording the Mod wheel, 1 MSB with a value of 50 and 33 LSB with a value of 19. The 50 would be the 'coarse' value and the 19 the 'fine' value. So can someone just tell me what the heck the value is in the Voyager's 254 range? The Voyager only shows 0-255 for most parameters. But internal resolution (stored plus MIDI transmitted) is much better. Test for your self by slowly turning the Detune within a single shown value and listen for the differences. The Source was like this too. OK, here's what I've found and it ain't too complicated:
I just go into edit mode and select TS Destinations, choose X,Y or A and enter the MIDI CC value on the second line that corresponds to the parameter (e.g. Filter Cut-off, Filter Spacing, etc) that is entered in the top line. So, if the top line says Filter Cut-off, I enter a value of 19 (obtainable from the downloadable Voyager Software ver 2.1 User Instructions for Update and Use) on the second line.
Also make sure the value on the bottom line is set to either 50% or 100%.

I didn't pay to close attention to the TS desination Midi Ctrl no. Yes you can do what you describe, but it's not accurate. In some cases it works, like for example when you draw a linear based line over the TS to do a sweep. But if I touch the TS rapidly to get a periodic jump effect it doesn't play back right. If I turn the cutoff rapidly to get the same effect it works (close enough, I can only turn my hand so fast).
What you should try is drawing a sweep, again using the filter as and example ctr. 19. in cubase. Then do a sweep manually turning the cutoff knob (which will transmit crt. 19 & 51). I bet you'll find the later smoother
