librarian question!
so is the librarian the only way to use the moog phatty voices, via midi, thru a daw? does it work similar to the access TI???
Monophonic
the LP only has ONE voice it is NOT multitimbral. You can hook it up to a DAW via midi and/or audio and use it as an analog Moog or as a midi controller for OTHER VSTi's. The Librarian is not needed for this. All it does is provide a way to store/send sysex banks or edit an existing patch on the Phatty via the Editor program. If you want to record the LP sound in a DAW you have to hook up the audio out to an audio in on your DAW, midi provides NO sound information only note/length/velocity/etc. You will get no sound out of the LP if only midi is used. Choose the midi device you have the LP hooked up to I don't know what hardware you use.
Again..midi contains NO sound...you MUST hook up the analog OUT to an analog IN on your DAW to record the LP voice.
cheers

One voice...as in, MONOPHONIC. The LP does NOT export it's sounds through MIDI. Only by running the audio out to analog in on a sound card can you record the LP sounds onto your computer. When used as a MIDI controller, you can send out multiple notes, up to 37 of them, at a time.myfilthyheart wrote:TP? what uhh,, do you mean LP???
