I suggest we all listen to "Wish You Were Here" for Mr. Wright's mastery of the Mini. Darn, he was one of the main reasons I got into electronic music...

Sorry for the late post, but I was shocked when I heard the news. Pink Floyd is my all-time favourite band and as a piano player, keyboard, and synth freak myself, Rick Wright was one of my absolute influences.

Yes !
34 years after "Dark Side of the Moon" this recording is still superb to me and many other people. Even younger ones (I am 43).

By listening to those records/CDs/mp3s, we will hear what will always remember us to the shy keyboard player somewhere behind his keyboards.

Hearing his piano going through a Leslie on Echoes ...
His jazz like piano on "The Great Gig In The Sky" ...
His now classic Minimoog soli on "shine on you Crazy Diamond" ...

If there is a heaven, he will be jamming with Jimi Hendrix now.

In what may be one of his last appearances on stage, you can see Rick Wright prominently behind the keys on David Gilmour's 'Live At The Royal Albert Hall' DVD.
