I NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!
I NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!
So as I have stated in other posts, I am only 15 and this is my first truly analog synth. The clostest I have had to an analog synth is a Korg Radiaus. My current rig is all new, most of it is still in the box. I have a Hammond xk-1 organ, a Roland Fantom X7 workstation, a Moog little phatty, a Roland PK-5, a CP-251, and a MF-107 FreqBox. As well as a home made MIDI A B C switch, which I use to switch between the 3 keyboards midi to the PK-5 bass pedals. So I was wandering how to connect the Little Phatty to the CP-251 and MF-107 FreqBox?
The cp-251 does not use MIDI (obviously; no MIDI jacks), it sends out control voltages. these signals can be patched to the control voltage (CV) inputs on the side of the Little Phatty, and/or the CV inputs on the freqbox. Consult the manuals for the CP-251 and the freqbox for more information about CV signals and what they can do on these two devices. It's not too difficult once you wrap your head around it. You can use the freqbox as a source of CV modulation signals and also as an audio effect. To use it as an audio effect, hook it up like a normal stomp box; audio out from the little phatty to the audio in of the freqbox; audio out from the freqbox to your computer or your amp or however you're listening to sounds. set the wet/dry mix all the way to the left (dry) to hear only the phatty; start to turn the wet/dry mix to the right to hear the freqbox blended in. The freqbox will be more musical if the SYNC switch is on, but there are lots of cool noises to be made if you jsut generally experiment with it. Again, read the manuals completely and you'll have answers to questions you don't even know how to ask yet.
