Anyone else experience this "bug"?

Post by conner » Sun Jun 22, 2008 9:25 pm

Hello

I am not sure if this is a bug, or something I am just not understanding, but this is what's going on:

When I have my little phatty stage II connected without the USB connector plugged in, all is good.

When I have the USB connector plugged in, *sometimes* (but not always) the osc 1 wave function does not work. As in, I go to adjust the waveform and all audio cuts out. Audio only comes back when the waveform is set to the far left (triangle) ... trying to deviate the shape cuts out all audio

For the record, when the USB connector is plugged in this behavior happens both when I have some kind of DAW running, or when I have nothing at all running on the machine. I used Midi Monitor to see if anything weird was being sent, but it all looks normal.

Any advice on how fixing this? Have others heard of this?

I have not had this problem, but you could try pluging the USB into the LP and unpluged on the other end. This will rule out any problems with your LP. If it still does it with one end unpluged than your lp needs repair.

never seen that one before. when it's happening, and you solo oscillator 1 (i.e. turn oscillator 2 level to zero) does the triangle wave sound like a triangle wave? Or does it sound brighter, like a different wave form? You should make an audio recording of what happens when you turn the osc1 waveform control through its range when it's having this problem, and then look at the audio waveform in an audio editor... or email it to me and I'll have a look.

Cheers,

Amos
