One thing to keep in mind is the bandwidth of the delay. I don't know if the delayed audio output of 104z will pass a low frequency control voltage simply because the bandwidth of the BBD chips is finite and won't pass frequencies above (and maybe below) a certain amount.

hmmm...I have a 104z, I'll try it when I get a chance.

This very well may be accurate because the other day I was running a patch using all of my FOogers with the Rhodes. (Its a 73) and when I got up towards the highest 8 keys, the only thing that was delayed was a click and no high notes. This could be a volume thing but I surely was dumbfounded as to why those notes weren't getting delayed while 1 note lower was. It made for an interesting effect...some notes delayed some not.

ok i just tried the cv thru delay (not a moog delay tho) trick... wow i dont know why i never tried this before. i had noise from my micro going into the 103 with no lfo and sent the square wave (rate at 12 o'clock) from the 102 into a booster pedal then into the delay (about 300ms) and it created this dance beat filter sweep it was great!

im going to have to get a 2nd delay pedal just for cv...or an actually trigger delay

its a way was efx analog delay. its a small boutique builder anything that isnt moog in my rig was either built or modded by him.

I am trying to find analog junkies that live near me. I live in a desert of analog knowledge. Talking about gear and electronic music and going and seeing shows where people use the stuff is what I miss living here....

oh well.

Is the builder based in Chicago?

MATT: Yeah he is based in Midlothian (www.myspace.com/waywas) Brian is probably your man then. he does custom stuff, mods, reproductions, he actually just made a bi-phase copy with CV control.

the delay he built for me is actually very Moog like, in features anyway i dont have the means to compare them sound wise yet. it has a FX loop to run effect on the delay or dry signal, an LFO to modulate delay time and it has 1 sec of analog delay.

and im 24 and a half

I am getting ready to buy an analog delay definatly the Moog (probably one other too) Having an effects loop puts anything up in my book, as so few have them. (I with the Malekko Dark 600 had a loop!)

I will have to look into his stuff.
