I have been waiting for a whole month to order the stage ll. I just spoke to some one @ ZZOUNDS they said the first 500 that that r goign to be shipped out are already pre ordered, and the next shipment date is in July.... I WANT THE STAGE ll NOW.... it sucks i though about buying the LP and just returning it and exchangin it when the Stage ll comes in.

When will they be out????

Amos wrote: For people with questions about the Tribute Edition: I can only say please be patient and don't worry so much! We'll take good care of you. There will be a TE update which does NOT require any hardware update and which improves the "EGR matrix" noise solution. This version will NOT have the arpeggiator and other v2.0 new features, because it physically can't. There's no room for the extra code without a memory upgrade.

there will also be a TE release of OS 2.0 *WITH* all the new features, but due to the resulting size of the code, this version will require a memory upgrade. The memory upgrade will be inexpensive and readily available; we can perform the upgrade here at the Moog factory or (especially for overseas customers) we can send the new memory chip to you and you can have it fitted by your own technician, or we can recommend a Moog-authorised tech if there is one in your area.

I hope this answers a few questions...
I'm all over the memory upgrade for the new features when it comes out...can't wait!

Looks like a road trip to the mountains might be in the near future! Arpeggiator on a Moog! Oh the fun to be had!

Playing with the arpeggiator IS a blast, and it becomes especially sweet with a synchronized delay effect applied (I use an Akai E2 Head Rush for this, but any decent delay [analog, digital, or tape] can provide satisfying results here).

Be sure to carve out a big chunk of time to mess with this feature - once you get into it you won't want to stop. :D

Yes yes lucky you, can we play with it now please! Surely this week?

:)
Ha-ha. I'm with Dada. We've been hearing "Real soon now" for a couple of weeks, and the holiday weekend coming up seems to me to be a good time for an OS release. (provided all the i's are dotted, and the t's crossed!)

Sorry - didn't mean to sound elitist.

Can't do anything to accelerate the release of the Stage II OS update, but I can offer some audio examples of what it can do.

I threw this demo together very quickly (in about an hour), using a Stage II and Akai Headrush delay. There are examples of single note stutters, chordal arps, latched arps, arps with glide, and arps w/octave button shifts, etc. Latched arps allow you to tweak the dials while the arp plays (fun!).

Don't expect too much from this simple demo - I'm sure that others will be creating much more interesting ones in the months to come. :-)

I invite the LP community around the world to sing in one voice the following, roughly to the tune of 'O Come Let Us Adore Him':

Why are we waiting?
Why are we waiting?
O Why are we waiting,
For OS2?

Please, nice people at Moog, we are merely skin and bone and can only take so much anticipation...

I'm going MAD.

My sentiments, exactly, Extraborg.

God bless the Moog family and best wishes to all his friends and co-workers at the factory and elsewhere.

It's a testament to Bob that they are carrying on.

(Please note that this post did not contain a pitiful plea for posting new OS as a way of commemorating Bob Moogs's birthday.)
