MULT - VX351, CP251

Post by cl516 » Sun May 04, 2008 6:27 pm

Hello

The MULT on CP251 is labelled with Red.

The MULT(s) on VX351 are not labelled.

Are the MULTs on these 2 units exactly the same?

Or does the Red labelling mean something different?

I apologize if this has already been covered.

Red jacks have power supplied to them, so you can plug in an expression pedal (and send this to multiple destinations).

Presumably the VX does not do this, as there is no red nut (or white band).

so the red band ones can take a pedal,

whereas the vx351 mult is more just for straight forward CV's?

I think the old CP251 units had red jack rings, but that all of the current ones have all black rings.

So with this theory in mind, they should be exactly alike. I'd say just try it and see.

But the new CPs have white bands around the powered jacks (so can accept expression pedals).

Still, try it anyway. :)
