Live all-gear acid music set w/ MF Ringmod and CP-251

Post by Bryan B » Sat Mar 29, 2008 8:32 pm

I don't know how everyone here feels about techno, but below is a link to a live set recording of Kendall Station and I at a show in Minneapolis called "Satisfied" on Feb 23rd, 2008. To our surprise, the show was sold out at 1400 people and we had at least 500 people watching/dancing in the second room!

We had a table full of gear, (2) TR-909's, TR-808, MPC2000, TB-303, SH-101, Moogerfooger Ringmod and the CP-251. I had 4 different triggers running into the 4-input mixer (along with the sample and hold), controlling and modulating the SH-101. There is a few spots where the Moogerfoogers and CV control makes the SH-101 sound out of this world.

Here is the link (55 minutes long):

Thanks for listening!

im about half way through, lol thats some cool stuff man! i love when techno guys do the music live and let it evolve and build uppon it rather than just sit behind a lap top and wave your arms around, go get drink and take a smoke break, come back 15 mins later wave their arms some more maybe click something, and repeat...ok maybe thats over exagerating, but you know what i mean lol. in summary, good music

Really cool. Another thing that's made me realize I don't really understand my CP-251...

Thanks for checking this out! I have more (free) recordings of my live sets all posted online at the link below:

http://www.tcsoundscene.com/52.htm

My music ranges from Techno to Electro usually. The more recent recordings use more and more sounds from my Moogerfooger collection (especially the Ring Mod, MuRF, Freqbox and of course the CP-251).
MemoryMoog Plus (with Kenton Midi Upgrade Kit) MF-101 Lowpass Filter, MF-102 Ring Mod, MF-103 Stage Phaser, MF104M Delay, MF-105M MIDI MuRF, MF-107 Freq Box, MF-108M ClusterFlux and CP-251 Control Processor.
