controlling the murf

hi , i' m pretty much new to the murf, and i wanted to know if the way i do is ok and if i should do another way! having a bad english, i'm not shure i get all the issue concernig control voltage
i got the tr 909 and the tr 727, what i do is : i sync the murf with the rimshot trig out of the 909 with a regular trs mono jack, works fine( would it be different with stereo jack?), then i control the different cv input of the murf with the hi bongo trig out of the 727 but it is a stereo jack, is that ok?
need some highlights!! how you guys would you do with this set up? what is the issue with stereo and mono control?does the hi bongo trig out seq on the tr 727 should be the same as the rim shot one on the 909 to control the envelop for example or can it be different

with a TRS one circuit sets the tap tempo while the other is an individual triggering signal. I use a splitter (TRS stereo to two 1/4" mono) patch cable to have the control over what i need.. either a tempo set or an even triggered event. (same thing as the step adaptor) I would reccomend the step type advancment for syncing live. When i used it live, just make sure the drummer knows what to expect and what they are controlling.

thanks for answering, but i'm not sure i got it,
so, you plugged a Y cable in the tap tempo of the murf with the stereo side in to the murf and the mono side in the cv source(tr 909), but what do you with the other mono of the Y cable, one for step and the other for tap, is that right?

if you want tap tempo you plug one of the monos into your voltage / trigger source. If you want step triggering you plug the other one in. can't remember which one red or black is

I have a BOSS FS that has 2 switches, I plug one mono in on each.. and can choose which way i trigger or sync it.

IM going to guess Red would be the stereo. Its the Scale plug on the Moog Drum, the trigger is the black one.

this is what I use

Black goes into Murf tap tempo, the monos go to trigger/ oscilator/ clock sources

only the tap will trigger the event.

The envelope CV input is a +-5 volt input which , depending on it's voltage, controls the envelope knob's rotation, position AKA how short or long the envelpoe lasts... you are better to plug an expression pedal in that.

same with mix.
