Murf Step Adapter
I'm ordering a Murf this week and am wondering if I should also get the Step Adapter. I'll be using the Murf with a Voyager(VX351+CP251) and an analog step sequencer. I don't think I quite understand what the adapter will do for me that I can't already do with the gear I have. Basically, I'd like to not spend $30 on an adapter if I can do something similar.

The MuRF has two differing modes for its footswitch input. If you plug a TS footswitch in, you have tap tempo. If you split the socket into tip and ring, e.g. with a stereo (TRS) plug to two mono (TS) sockets, the tip+sleeve will function as tap tempo, and the ring+sleeve will work as a step advance. So, each time you tap (or send a gate/clock) the pattern will move one step forward.
