the same with me...
In that case and considering the Moog is charging for a product that is usually free from other synth companies I would expect a bit of help...

Hi,

First of all I would like to apologize for not checking this thread sooner. I would like to inform you that there will be new update that is scheduled for the end of this week. It should address all issues mentioned here. In february we had experienced some problems with email servers due to an incredible amount of spam. Setting spam filters made things even worse because some legitimate inquiries got lost. If you need further assistance please write to editors@soundtower.com and I will do my best to help you.

Thank you,

Mark

mac ver. 1.3.0

Post by waxdoctor » Mon Mar 17, 2008 8:27 pm

first of all - thanx for the new update!

after the first 10 minutes I recognized these errors:

- playing with octave switches on editor do not affect anything on the LP gear

- the mod 2 destinations' led on the editor still do not indicate the right destination (but the changes on the LP gear take effect)

- I still couldn't load my .mlp to LP gear

Waxdoctor -

Thanks for reporting this. We'll look into it immediately and be posting another update soon!

For all LP users, the latest version of the LP Editor/Librarian (v1.3.0) can be found at:

The latest version includes fixes for other previously reported bugs and a few cosmetic changes.

I still couldn't load my .mlp to the LP editor (therefore also not to my LP)

We think we know what the problem is: in all likelyhood, your .mlp file is not a complete LP bank, which is why it won't load. If we're right, it also means that problem is unique to you (sorry!) and not to others who use the Editor.

We will PM you with the details to correct the problem.

I'm having the same problem. Please get me the info as well. I may have lost a bunch of patches over this... I saved every bank as an .MLP file which I still have and would hope are salvagable. If there is a specific way we should be savign the banks, specifics would be great so others don't make the same mistakes.
Thanks

Hi otto,

We anticipate releasing another update in the next week or so that will address the 'incomplete bank' problem with .MLP files. This should allow you and anyone else experiencing the problem to recover those presets.

Hi Soundtower,

I have problems with the current 1.3 release that means it is almost unusable.

The previous versions have other bugs that caused me grief but the 1.3 seems
to not properly complete a Sysex request from the LP. If I try to request a dump
from my LP, I can see it get perhaps the first 4-8 patches and then it will stop.

The patches seem to receive fine, but I can never get all 99 in a dump.

My LP is a tribute model with OS 1.03C installed. I am on OSX 10.3.9 (very stable)
using an AMT-8 MIDI interface with no MIDI filtering enabled on the port.

Is anyone else experiencing a problem like this? The editor side works fine
and knob moves are displayed in the software correctly.
