I ordered a Cp-251 through Musician's Friend as well. When I ordered, it said "in stock," I even called and they confirmed it was in stock. I got an email stating it was on back order. I ordered it January 2nd!!!!!
Every single day since then, their website claims it is to arrive on that day.... look.... it is supposed to be there TODAY.... it has said that every single day since I ordered. Needless to say I am somewhat unhappy.

Since I have a gift card through Musician's Friend, I am somewhat "forced" to order through them, but it is somewhat of a headach. I really want the CP. :(

humbuckermusic.com has always been good to me - i'm not affiliated - just bought a couple moogerfoogers from them and happy - they have always had great prices and in stock and you get to chat with the guys on the phone about music stuff when you order - old-school music shop style on the net. I've never had a problem with musicians friend either and have been using them as of late myself for plenty of stuff.

Sorry vier-peronen! With quality it takes time. The BBD chips used in the 104 are limited so it's a slow moving process. Please be patient!

analoghaze,
I've been wanting a CP-251 "AND I WORK HERE AT MOOG!" Please be patient. Lot's of stuff going on here and a small dedicated group of workers are keeping the machine moving!!

I know what the distrubuters say and we are busting our butts to get the gear into your hands through them.

Best wishes,

It looks like Musician's Friend is stocked. (on both the CP and delay)
I got my shipping confirmation.
In time for the rebate too!

That pedal is truly awesome.

At first when I got it it really dawned on me that I spent almost 700 on a delay effect but after alot of experimentation I realize that its something that I can't live without.

I knew that Id use it for everything anyway.

Im just waiting for my check so I can get the cp-251 and my 921B osc so I can have a 3 osc MicroMoog!

THanks, Moog!

My CP-251 showed up, but they "forgot" to send me a receipt.

I talked with a person on the phone for 10 minutes trying and trying to get them to mail me a receipt. (musician's friend)

I was told "we can email you a copy of the invoice"

The rebate states that it has to be an original copy of the sales receipt. I tried to explain that to the person over the phone and all he told me was "If Moog doesn't honor it, we'll try to work something out."

I don't want to get an email with my receipt, print it out and send that to Moog only to find out in 6 weeks that they will not honor it. After that, I would bet Musician's Friend won't do anything to "work it out."

I ended up asking for a manager. I waited on hold for almost 10 minutes to speak with a manager and he explained to me that it is VERY uncommon for people to call and request a receipt mailed to them, and emailing it would be easier.
I explained to him that if they would had send a receipt with my package that I would not be dong any of this at all.

He ended up telling me that they will mail out a receipt, but if I don't get it by the deadline, I'm most likely out $30 on the rebate.

Needless to say Musician's Friend is not to high up on my list of dealers that I want to deal with again soon.
I hope the receipt gets to me quickly. The manager told me that he was going to mail it out asap, whatever that means. :? I hope he has it in the mail this week.

I hope I can get in on this rebate offer. I did everything I could to do on my end, but the distributer is jacking me around. If I don't have it in a week, I'm calling Musician's Friend again and requesting a $40 discount on my next purchase. The reason I state $40 is:
1: for my time
2: I am almost 100% sure the $30 rebate from Moog would not go to Musician's Friend. Even if I do use the money for music gear, I like Analogue Haven the best.
Seems fair??

I should tell my family to NOT buy me a gift certifigate from Musician's Friend, but that is "looking a gift horse in the mouth."

I was totally ready to send in my rebate form TODAY! Really...... the rebate form is all filled out, except the serial number. The envelope is addressed and stamped.

Now I have to wait for a receipt, which was a hassle to get them to snail mail to me.

It is something that should have been included in my package, why should it be a hassle to request something that THEY forgot?!

Well Im sure that if they emailed the reciept that Moog would honor it.

But as for Musicians Friend.....I stopped doing business with them a long time ago and if I MUST order from a corporate music store then Ill order from Sweetwater.

Sweetwater looks just like Musicians Friend, only they sort of leave out the "Beginner" products like theres no 100 dollar Squire guitars. I think like in the guitar market they start out in the intermediate market, like 800 and up for guitars.

But my first dealing with Sweetwater was over the delay pedal. Not only did he inform me that Moog was having a rebate, but he included a PDF form so I could print out as many reciepts as I wanted to send to moog and to have for my records. He also shipped it to me in 2 days, and they even included some candy in the box!

So if you MUST go corporate, try sweetwater because their customer service is fantastic.
