Best way to attach Phatty to MFs

Post by Xenollop » Wed Feb 06, 2008 9:19 am

Hi All,

I have the RingMod and MuRF MFs, and am wondering what the best way to connect them to the Little Phatty is.
So far I've been hooking them up in this order:

Phatty Audio-out to MuRF In---MuRF Out to RingMod In---Ring Mod Out to recording source.
There are so many ways to connect these guy though that I wondered if there are other interesting and maybe more effective ways to connect them to the LP/eachother that will utilize them better.

Any thoughts?

If you put the Ring Mod before the Murf, it might give you chewier filter effects (because you'd be putting in a more harmonically rich waveform).

also, if you do the audio path in this order, it would allow for you to send out a stereo signal from the murf, if that is something your interested in. and dont forget to try and send any of the cv outs of the MF's to the lil phatty cv in. maybe there is a ring mod lfo rate out i think.... try it out, get whacky.
