midi clock set by tap tempo -

mispelled ploytec....

Problem is they are all sold out... so again.. if the cv's and midi are in sync...
it will help be super good for many I think...

Huh. Ok, that's interesting. Anyway, I think I have some good news. I found a video from the recent namm show featuring moog employees discussing the new pedal, and they appear to confirm that it WILL send out midi clock...

Scroll down through the videos here:

Nearest I can make out, you can send midi clock to other midi devices, but, no, can't sync other moogerfoogers.

I think you can sync 'foogers to MIDI clock:
LFO signals are scalable and can be synced to MIDI clock, tap tempo, each other, or free-running
So, to sync a MuRFs tempo, just set the wave to square and sync to MIDI. What other parameters would you like sync'd with MIDI?

I still would like to know more information regarding e.g. MIDI clock divider, MIDI->Pitch CV, Note On gates etc. so I won't be pre-ordering one until at least I've read the manual.

Mostly the Murf, yes, but also anything with a variable rate, like the LFO in the ring mod, though now that I think of it, one could just send one of the new pedal's LFOs out to it, so...

Ok. Send a midi sync'd lfo to one of the m/fs, program the pedal to alter certain parameters, but not others, or other parameters at varying rates.

I think they did say it could send midi clock, but the important thing would be to have a good way to tap tempo the clock (as the LFO's) like the ploytec 34 method with tempo portamento.

So it could be the "foot tapped global time hub for all CV and Midi things"

Seems they could very easily do it.. and it is %90 there already as the video shows....

As it is: Great job Moog!! This really fills the "I play in clubs live and need my feet to help pull it off" category!

Maybe I am a little late, but...

I was looking everywhere for a manual for this, is there one online? Even just a rough draft or something? I think this piece has a lot of potential for what I am doing musically, and would love to reference something to make sure it is what I think it is.

Here are the questions I am looking to answer if there is no manual available:

Can you pick a midi note output from a drum machine and convert it to gate through one of the 4 CV/gate outputs? Allowing you to program a gate every time you program that drum sound for example.

Can you draw a curve in a computer program (like Ableton Live) and output it (via midi or USB) through the pedal and convert it to CV through any of the 4 outputs? Allowing you to create waveforms or automate precise MF knob turning with the computer.

Can you output 4 different waveforms from the CV outputs at the same time? Allowing us to create complex waves by using a CV mixer (like on the CP-251) to combine them.

Can you use the pedal to control things separately from the CV outputs, like having the pedal be midi output only and different things coming out of the CV outputs? Allowing us to use the pedal as a CV/Gate converter and also a pedal at the same time.

I just realized I can use my Doepfer MCV24 to generate 24 custom-shaped LFO's or even envelope CV's (besides it's normal Midi to CV/gate/trigger conversion). Yay for hard to read manuals (that was my 4th readt-through)! So I no longer have to know the answer to any of the questions I posted above, as I won't be needing one. But I am still curious because I like to preach the Moogerfooger gospel to some local gear heads once and a while.
