Voyager Preset Patches Documentation Of Parameter Values?

Post by omhoge » Thu Jan 10, 2008 4:28 pm

Hello All,

I'm looking for documentation of the Voyager Preset Patches that would list all the original settings from the front panel.

I've always found these helpful in learning a new synth and trying each knob and button on the panel to see what the original settings was is not quite the same. On paper it would be easier to compare settings of different patches and learn more about the interaction of the various settings.

If anyone knows if and where this might be available it would help me a lot.

Thanks everyone, I really appreciate it!

Perhaps some ever-skilled person could write a sysex utility to extract the parameter values for each patch.

The Voyager Ed/Lib software can show you all of the dial and switch settings for a given patch. Although you can't print this information directly from the Ed/Lib, if you need hardcopy you could always do a screen print (I'm assuming here that you're not looking for a diagram of every patch, just a few selected ones).

The Ed/Lib will also reveal all of the software-selected patch parameters as well (filter poles, pot mapping, modulations, etc.). You'll need to know these if you really want to understand how a given patch works.

Thank you. I thought the software would reveal more, but I have no way of connecting the Voyager to a computer at this point. So I'm looking for hard copy documentation, it's also much better for reading on the bus.

Appreciate the response!
