I knew of these modules from Mr. Yves Usson (who is a real specialist in modular knowledge - he helped me out several times with my modular system). So about your topic: he sent me a.o. pics from this modules a whole while ago - if I'm not wrong Oivier Grall is even a close friend of him..
And btw that is a great link - I bet many people will still be surprised MOOG ever made a modular drum system.

I would have guessed that they were reconfigured circuits from existing moog modules, but for the text describing them as prototypes that never made production.
It's interesting that they share similarities with later drum synths, and drum machines. But also, I guess there had already been "drum machines" available for some time.
