Those buttons on the Phatty

Post by janus » Thu Oct 11, 2007 3:11 pm

Hi,

I have a Tribute from 12/06 and I was never really happy with those rubber buttons.
They have become more sluggish since I got the machine.
The button for the LFO source often triggers twice with a single hard press.
Is it nomal that the buttons have no precise trigger point and must be pressed very hard ?
There is still warranty on the Tribute, is it a reason for service?

greetings

On my LP Stage, I often have to press the Resonance Button twice before it works... :(

Any Solution?

Hi kybernaut_01, seems that we are the only people being unhappy about phatty' s buttons.

Come on everybody, no complaints against the rubber buttons?
No malfunctions??

my buttons are spot on. no problems at all, and the phatty has seen some serious prodding abuse.

Only complaint with my buttons is that a little bit of the black paint has rubbed off on one or two of them and you can see a bit of the blue glowing through. No problems other than that though

"Sorry" but my buttons work beautifully. I've had my LP stage about six months and no problems at all so far. Sorry to hear your buttons are sluggish.

Mine was brand new, and had this problem since the first day...

the 1st one I had (TE) had a completely unresponsive filter section, because of the button contacts.
luckily it was brand-new and my seller was able to have it switched out for another one.

i hope these rubber pads don't wear out fast or something - that would mean problems reselling it later, if need be.
