Since this thread is back up (and has some great stuff in it) I thought I would add my $.02 to the mix. I don't play guitar but run my Voyager through a line of effects pedals as follows...(this has also been posted elsewhere)...
Voyager -> ZVex Fuzz Factory -> MF-102 Ring Mod -> Frostwave Resonator (LPF/HPF) -> EHZ Deluxe Memory Man Analog Delay
This more or less follows what is said in this thread. The Fuzz Factory is first because it turns a potentially limited spectrum into pure fuzz - distort early.
The Ring Mod works really well on the signal from the Fuzz Factory and can be used to add tremelo or strange high-frequencies, etc.
The Resonator is just an amazing filter. I thought about getting the MF-101 but then decided on the Frostwave since I figured my Voyager already had a Moog LPF - I wanted something that sounded different and I got it. One of the best things about this (besides the fact that it is a wonderful sounding self-resonating filter) is that it can mix the signals nicely, essentially doubling and fattening up the sound of the Voyager alone. Not the Voyager needs it but you can really make the Voyager sound even creamier than it already does. I also use the LFO in the Voyager and in the Ring Mod to control (via CV) the Resonator - the Resonator has CV inputs for both filters frequency and resonance. Really great combination IMO!
Lastly I run it all through the Deluxe Memory Man Analog Delay. Not as much delay time as the MF-104 but the price is right and it sounds amazing. It works very well and I couldn't be happier with it.
I'm considering an MF-107 which I would put either before or after the Ring Mod most likely - probably before - but then again - it might actually go well before the Fuzz Factory as well.
