How often do you see someone wearing Moog clothing?

Post by Boeing 737-400 » Thu Mar 11, 2004 10:44 pm

I have seen two people wearing them in separate incidents, last summer I saw a guy walking down the road with a Moog top and cap, and last week I was in town and I saw a guy younger than me wearing a Moog Music hoodie. I was gonna stop him, but I had no time. I might join in and get some items myself. ;)

I have 2 MOOG t-shirts (a black and a dark blue) & I'm proud to wear them as owner of a real Moog synth (my beloved L.A.M.M. Memorymoog).

I use my official Moog Music T-Shirt, purchased in Nashville at the NAMM show couple years ago as a dustcover for my MiniMoog Model D in the studio.

Works great, looks great, AND advertises what's under it :-)

I got it the year Bob got his company name back and just don't have the heart to actually wear it.

I have a hat and a T-shirt.

I also have two T-shirts from the original Moog Music company in Buffalo NY, still in good shape. One is the "authorized performer" and the other has the big musical note logo. Showing my age here :D

Someone actually offered to buy those two T-shirts a few years ago.

I have a black t-shirt with a(n original) minimoog silkscreened on it in white. I got it on eBay several years ago. I haven't seen anything like it since. But I do love the shirt.

I saw someone wearing a Moog T-shirt last year, as he was leaving the supermarket.

(Added 5/10/04)
It was the black T with the yellow logo. I hadn't seen it before then. Needless to say, it rekindled my interest.

I just ordered a trucker's cap and the jersey. I'd still love to get a Moog "Authorized Performer" T-shirt or sweatshirt. And somewhere, I have a black ball cap with the Moog logo hand-painted on it.

Just got a moog hoodie....sweet ass logo on the hood....always had a moog tee which I paid too much money for on ebay before Big Briar again became Moog music. Have seen quite a few around Toronto...especially since the return of the mini.

I have to say I wore my Moog T shirt with pride when I met Dr Bob in Edinburgh here in the UK two weeks ago.
Although I was the only one I did feel a bit of a geek at first but it's respect for 50 years and all that stuff.

I've seen people at typical synth nerd hangouts wearing Moog. If you hang around long enough at your local (large) music store's synth department or at a techno concert, odds are pretty high you'll see a Moog shirt or hat if you're patient.
WANTED TO BUY:
Old Synthesizers, Effects, Drum Machines, Sequencers, Modules & Studio Gear, *BROKEN OK*. I'm especially interested in older analog / modular synths (Moog, ARP, Buchla, Serge, EMS, EML, Emu, Polyfusion, etc). EMAIL: oldsynthguy@aol.com

I was in a pool club with some mates, and there was one guy wearing the 'moog synthesizer' t shirt.

WEARING MOOG T SHIRTS etc

Post by ELPNeil » Mon May 17, 2004 1:05 pm

I cannot see what all the fuss is about if you wear or are seen wearing clothes with Moog printed on it.
What about wearing T shirts with Ford or other car types or even football supporter wear.
Last year I wore my Moog T shirt to a Keith Emerson concert and Will Alexander his keyboard tech invited me onstage at the end to view Keith's large modular Moog close up.
So wearing it does sometimes get you further.
