Has anyone used this combination yet? I'm thinking about using one with the Taurus to add the modulation it lacks. The Taurus sounds great but like so many have mentioned before they lack the options of the Mini, etc.
Any predictions?
Ring Mod and Taurus 1?

Thanks for taking the time to answer. I also can't imagine it being a bad combination as I've heard so many great things about the Foogers. Just looking for some feedback.
Also if you're up for it maybe you could shed a little light on the CP251 for me. I've read the literature but it just hasn't sunk in as to what it's actual function is in layman's terms.

Well, if you are looking for modular flexibility the CP would be good. You can find more detailed info in other threads here and at moog, but basically the CP doesn't process audio sounds (like the other foogers). It generates a variety control voltages to control aspects of other devices, the frequency of your ring modulator for instance. An LFO wave is an example of one of its control voltages. You could plug the LFO wave out on the CP to the Frequency input on the Ring mod and have the cp lfo wave controlling the ring mod frequency. There's all kinds of other things it does like add noise, mix signals, turn signals up and down and control them over time. Again it doesn't make sound, but rather is like an automatic knob twister for other effects. Make sense?
You can also use the LFO ON THE RINGMOD ITSELF for the same purpose...just plug out and back in...a little self-love.shakti wrote:You could plug the LFO wave out on the CP to the Frequency input on the Ring mod and have the cp lfo wave controlling the ring mod frequency.
