1.03 problem with Local control
When setting Local Cntrl = OFF, if I change manually the preset in the LP the sound doesn't change!! And then, if I change the preset via MIDI the sound changes but not the preset displayed on the LCD!! You have the same problem?

It's a problem if thats the way you want it to behave and maybe if there are enough people who want it to behave that way, Moog might change it. But there are other reasons for wanting it the way it is.
You should look at it this way.
When Local Control is OFF, you have 2 separate devices, a sound engine and a keyboard with controls.
The sound engine is only controlled by incoming midi.
The keyboard/controls only send midi.
If you were to loop back the midi, you would wind up with the same situation as Local Control ON.

this is exactly correct
however, it's still confusing
The LCD currently only displays the preset loaded to the panel
and there is no graphical display to indicate what preset the sound engine is using.
One of the planned improvements in the next OS revision is a better "local off" interface, with a way to see both the patch loaded to the panel, and the patch loaded to the synth engine. In the interim, just remember that when LOCAL = OFF, the panel and the analog synth are not connected to each other, unless you MIDI them together.

This is somewhat annoying for me in its present state.
I have four synth keyboards plus three sound modules in my keyboard studio. I use Digital Performer. I typically have all keyboards set to local off, with all MIDI data running through the computer, where it is then mapped wherever I want it to go. Obviously, I can play any synth from any keyboard, any time. This makes recording multi-part layers a breeze.
Except that if I am not playing the LP synth via the LP keyboard, or don't have the LP keyboard routed back into the LP via MIDI, the front panel is dead. I can't change patches or tweak sounds.
While the Virus TI offers more local control options, I don't think I've ever played a synth where turning local control off affected anything besides the keyboard itself.
It would be wonderful if this was fixed/changed in a future OS upgrade, as soon as convenient. Thank you.

It would also be helpful to have the ability to "on/off" the keyboard, panel, and patch status independently. For example, currently if I am playing the LP and using it to trigger both the LP and my Virus TI, knob tweaks on the LP will also be send to the Virus.
I would love to be able to independently decide whether the front panel controls will only affect the LP or be transmitted via MIDI, or both.
Thank you.
