Tribute = No Second Mod Destination
Centaur Music said they're keeping their last one for themselves. But stop by, they had one or two the day drove down to pick mine up & a full complement of other MOOG goodies as well. They're swell guys but maybe if you pry their LP from their cold dead hands..

Bringing up the TB-303...
The value of those rose because people discovered a NEW way of using them and something in it that no other synth could do. F00KIN' ACID. They still haven't come up with something that truly captures the 303. The xOxOx is the closest.
With the Lil Phatty TE you will have to find something in it that no other synth will be able to do. The (PhattyTE) value will be based on what people will be doing with them 3-10+ years from NOW.
Plus anyone who REALLY wanted wood sides for their Stage Edition could go to a woodshop and pay to have sides custom made for them? It looks like the sides screw off and you could have them created in even...lead if you wanted to shield the unit from RF signals and contract cancer early.
I have a feeling also Moog Music is going to be around forever now...Like Fender, Marshall, Gibson. It is a brand name. The bad management of Moog the first time around isn't going to come back so Voyagers, Lilltle Phattys, Moogerfoogers, Therimins, ETC... Will be being made or improved on 25 years from now.
Plus there is room for all sorts of music now. Electronic music was kinda new when Moog started in the 60-70's, blew up in the early 80's. Went to the underground(werehouses/raves) with hair metal, rose from the ashes with "electronica" late 90's. And now is everywere. It's always gonna be Guitar/Synths/Guitar/Synths/Guitar/Synths/ETC...
Companys know people will always like to have a analog synth with knobs. They learned their lessons with the DX7. Actually FM synthesis has made a come back...
The Voyager, LP and what ever they make next will be what the Stratocaster, Telecaster, Les Paul are to guitars.

You are missing my point of comparison. 1 to 1200 in the world, unique, rare.
1. 1-1200. How many Stage Little Phattys will there be? guessing 50K+ Units?
2. TB-303 rare. Out of production, UNIQUE sound.
3. White SH-101, Rare, UNIQUE cosmetics.
4. Wifes Dolls, GREAT INVESTMENT.
Sure you can take your Stage to get wood sidings put on. You know what? its still a stage! No matter how much you change its cosmetics.

I think that they could be persuaded to sell it, particularly with the stage coming in. There is also one available for sail at Old Town Music, who sells mostly used guitars. I think Apple Music sold theirs all out before the LP's even arrived. I got the first one.DeFrag wrote:Centaur Music said they're keeping their last one for themselves. By the way, yes the guys at Centaur are "swell guys". Very likable. They are primarily guitar guys, however, and don't know much about the product. Still plan on doing some business with them in the future, however. I like to do business with guys I like!!
Thanks Bob!!

Coupled with the fact that you collect dolls, that is one disturbing post.kumasynthtones wrote:Listen to Jazzpunk, he reminds me of a 2 year old girl crying because her brother's cookie (though the same chocolate chip) is just a tad bit bigger in diameter.

There's that 2 year old temper coming out again! First of all, My wife collects dolls, 2nd, if you read carefully, my wife invested $15 k in dolls over the years that is now worth $50K+. Yeah, maybe I am a loser, but a smart one!Jazzpunk wrote:Coupled with the fact that you collect dolls, that is one disturbing post.kumasynthtones wrote:Listen to Jazzpunk, he reminds me of a 2 year old girl crying because her brother's cookie (though the same chocolate chip) is just a tad bit bigger in diameter.
Welcome to the forum loser.
I made a comment earlier in this forum about not wanting this to turn into the Ableton Live forum. That time I was mostly joking because I was respnoding to someone joking. This time I am not. I like this forum because people are respectful. The above comment was not. Please refrain from similar posts in the future.Jazzpunk wrote:Welcome to the forum loser.
That "loser" comment really pushed me over the edge. This is supposed to be a professional, friendly, informative forum - not the snarky, hateful and juvenile antics from on other forums like TGS and HC. Don't ruin this one too... please.robles wrote:I made a comment earlier in this forum about not wanting this to turn into the Ableton Live forum. Calyx I guess you did not notice that I had already edited my comment before your posting.calyx93 wrote:That "loser" comment really pushed me over the edge. So to recap, it's cool for some jerk to tell me I a sound like a '2 year old girl' but it's not cool to call him a loser. Got it.
Thanks for clearing up the moral boundaries for me guys

I apologize for calling you a 2 year old girl. It's just some of your comments can really get under my skin and can be quite juvenile. There are people in this forum that are very happy with their purchase, and just because you're not, doesn't mean you should degrade anyone for their opinion. Let's just call it a truce, and go on to more important things, like, making music.Jazzpunk wrote:Another brilliant insight from the peanut gallery.electrical_engineer_gEEk wrote: EXACTLY...you are so right...i don't want to hear any bitching about this ever....if you can't understand this basic concept of technology you should be brought out behind the barn and shot.....
