HELP!!! LOOSE PLASTIC PIECE INSIDE MY LITTLE PHATTY

Post by dnaxdfi » Thu Jan 18, 2007 9:34 pm

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME...

I just received my little phatty, #763... When I took it out and tilted it, it sounded like there was something loose inside. I unscrewed one wood panel, and lo and behold a little piece of plastic was found. Its about the size of a piece of bubble gum, and its white and slanted like a slide. It is pretty heavy for a small piece of plastic, it seems like there is metal covered by the plastic. Did anyone else have something loose inside when they tilt their synth????
Can somebody please help me and let me know what this can be?
I think I'm going to take a picture of it and send it to moog, maybe they left it in there when they built it?

Thanks for all your help in advance :)

Plastic piece

It most likely became detached from the underside of one of the keys. My LP had 12 of those pieces rattling around inside so I simply epoxyed them back in place.

Good luck,
Dave
