Hi, everyone!
Moog Music presents the latest incremental update to the Little Phatty operating system. A number of improvements have been made to the basic operation of the synth, and we wanted to share the benefits with you right away. Meanwhile, the Little Phatty programming team is hard at work on a major OS update, which will introduce several tasty new features including versatile parameter mapping options and a powerful autotune and auto-calibration mode.
OS version 1.02d fixes the following bugs:
1.) Stuck/hanging notes when receiving MIDI or playing the keyboard – fixed
2.) Note Priority not correct across all octave transpositions – fixed
3.) Spurious MIDI program change message sent when switching to Panel mode – fixed
4.) Voyager patches sent to the LP mistaken for LP SysEx files – LP now ignores Voyager files.
5.) RAC mode overrides incoming MIDI-CC messages – the LP now switches out of RAC mode when it receives a MIDI controller change for the same parameter.
To update the firmware on your Little Phatty, you will need a computer with a MIDI interface and a program capable of sending SysEx data files via the computer’s MIDI output. If you are not already set up to do this, there are free programs available for Windows and Mac OSX which will allow you to send the SysEx file to your LP. We recommend MidiOx for the PC [www.midiox.com], and SysEx Librarian for Macintosh OSX [www.snoize.com/SysExLibrarian]. These same programs can be used to back up the presets on your LP before you update the OS, which is strongly recommended if you have created any custom patches of your own.
Before you update your Little Phatty, please read the full v1.02d release notes carefully. You will find the release notes included in the v1.02d archive.
