Prophet 5 REV 3

Post by chrisr710 » Fri Dec 22, 2006 10:50 pm

Hi, I saw some other talk out there on Prophet 5's (I am aware this is a MOOG forum), but I thought it couldn't hurt to check here... I am working on a Prophet 5 rev 3 that won't start up. It was sitting around for quite a while, and after changing some decoupling caps and voltage regulators I got the voltages to hold at the right levels. But not a peep... occasionally I get a LED to flash, but it doesn't go into the tuning cycle, and then just sits there. I was told to check PIN 26 on the z-80 cpu, to see if it is getting a reset signal, other than that was wondering if anybody had some good ideas?
Take care.

Talk to Kevin Lightner (Synth Fool) on this Forum. Expert tech, might be able to tell if its something you can do yourself or if you're taking a chance by trying to do it yourself.
