Is it a Bass Machine?

Post by lol » Tue Nov 07, 2006 2:59 pm

Hello to everybody...

I must be the fresher member inside this forum.

A little words about myself.I leave in Greece and I am producing progressive trance/electro music. I reached to a state that i will go a little bit analog.

I was wondering if the LP can produce the basses of this genre of music.I have heard many samples but most of them are leads. If somebody is familiar with this kind of music I would appreciate a response.

Thanks in advance.Excuse my English

I finally got to play the LP yesterday and it is a great little synth. It's capable of tb-ish sounds, amazing sub bass, and everything in between. This thing is a digital synth bass killer! Buy it soon. Moog is already sold out so you'll have to find on at a dealer or on ebay but they're out there!

With the bass out of the LP you can make your last dinner having a dance party in your stomach!
Blows away all my other digital and virtual synths. Cheers! :-)

I use it mostly for bass. It's quite easy to take some of the bass patches and tune them up for your specific needs. AND this synth does have a nice analog sound. I hate to say it though, but if you are looking for trance bass lines and leads - you may wish to consider desktop Virus TI. That is the instrument of choice for your genre. It has all your effects and such ready to boot. Personally, I did not like the sound of it next to the Phatty and I returned it and replaced it with an Omega 8.

Just my 2 cents.
