is that a red Gibson Es335? At that angle, I can't tell if the F-hole whiteness is pain or the wood showing through [if it a rip off or not]...
Hi Matt
No, it isn't a Gibson. It's a cheapish brand called Itallia. I guess I should list some of the gear, as it's "tell us about your rig" not "show us some pictures of your rig"
Guitars/Bass:
Quite old Ibanez SG
Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray 4
Ibanez Soundgear 6 String Bass
Itallia, model unknown
Keyboards:
Minimoog Voyager AE
ARP/Rhodes Chroma
Rhodes 73 Suitacase (I'm told it has a very good action for a rhodes)
Juno 106, sitting at home with one dead voice chip...
I've got a MIDIsport 2x2, running Windoze. I use MIDIOX for sysex and Fruity Loops 3 for sequencing. I send a quarter note to a TR-505 for a click/metronome for the drummer. We have been finding we don't like sequencing too much, so I'm gonna have to learn to play a couple of parts simultaneously.
Effects:
MF-102 > MF-101 > (MF-105, being repaired, back soon) |CP-251| MF-103 >MF-104SD > Electrix FilterQueen > Digitech Whammy Reissue > Boss DD-20 > Boss RV-5 > Korg Volume Pedal. Also tuner, tap for DD-20, 3 button footswitch for FilterQueen and a Zoom expression pedal.
There's a DIY MIDI theremin, but it doesn't really get used.
I recently aquired a Sherman Filterbank 2, which I am begining to implement. The Chroma and Rhodes run through a Roland RE-150 Space Echo, which goes to one input of a Fender BXR200. The Voyager/Bass run through the effects to the other input.
Amps:
I use a Fender BXR200, as stated above. Along with this is an ADA B-200B into a Peavy Black Widow 18". They deliver very good bass and mids/highs, for all instruments. When we play live, some of the top end gets lost, so I'll need to get a mixer and send an aux to the P.A.
Drums:
My brother plays the drums; he's got an expanded Pearl Export kit, with extra toms and a Tama soprano snare. The cymbals are Paiste, Saibian and a stacked trash. Also a chinese he got from a market.
The kick drum triggers (using a mic) bass drum samples on a Roland SPD-11, which gets sent to a BXR300C. Looking forward to the JoMoX MBase-01!
The other guy sings and plays percussion; COWBELL

and hand drums. He's just got a crappy mixer with a few Boss effects, 1600W power amp and some 12s.
You might notice the stereo system in the first photo. Yep, we record, using one crappy mic, straight onto cassette tape. I figure a demo should be a demo, and a studio recording... well, you get the idea.
Our band is called "analogY" and we play experimental dub/funk/drum'n'bass fusion. A lot of it is improvised stright on the fly.
