When will music stores get LP's

Post by thewaag » Tue Aug 15, 2006 2:34 pm

I ordered my LP from a local music store instead of directly from Moog, as I like to support my local guys. They won't carry these toys for me to look at if I don't buy from them!!

It is killing me to see all these other people (who ordered directly from Moog) getting their LP's while I sit on the sidelines and watch. Kind of like playing right field in little league baseball....

Any ideas when the direct orders will be serviced and they will start shipping to the music stores?

If one of you gets an LP that you ordered through a store, I would appreciate it if you posted that fact, so that I can start knowing when to expect mine.

As a kid, I wasn't very good about waiting for Christmas, either......
Thanks Bob!!

I've ordered mine in France at a local store. They told me they don't expect the LP until the end of August and in limited quantity, 10 per store. MESI, the french moog distributor confirm me this fact.

So I'm also in the waiting of the LP...

FWIW... I am hearing on this forum and through the Moog grapevine that the individual stores are finally getting the LP's in stock.

Hopefully not too long of a wait for the rest of us who did not order directly from Moog.
Thanks Bob!!

F**kin' Musician's Fiend has me in a backorder queue.
30 day backorder notice arrived via email.
GRRRRrrrrrrrrr.
Oh well, I guess since I got a 10% discount and free shipping, I can't complain too much. Just anxious to get my hand on the Little Phatty.

AudioMidi.com has little phattys in stock that are not "on reserve." I just ordered one from them, it will ship Monday. I had a little phatty on order from American Musical Supply since early July which I cancelled because 2 projected ship dates passed by and there has been no update as to when the next ship date would be. I want this thing NOW (should be here Thursday) and I couldn't wait any longer.
WOHOOOO can't wait!!!!!!!!!

No problem stimbox! I had read both yours and CTRLSHFT's messages awhile back and I knew you guys were in the same boat as me--which is why I posted. A few other online stores had claimed to have the Phatty in stock during the last couple of weeks, but everytime I called to order--all of their "in Stock" Phatty's were going to people that had pre-ordered them. AudioMidi definitely has (had?) Phatty's in stock, but I don't know how many are left. If anyone is going to order one from them, i would recommend calling them BEFORE cancelling an existing order...

I recieved my LP #124 from americanmusical.com yesterday after waiting about 3 months. It has a defective output, so now I have to choose to send it back to americanmusical.com or send it to Moog for repair. This sucks, If i send it back to americanmusical, I will have to wait 3-4 weeks since they do not have any in stock. If I choose to send it to Moog, I wonder if they can get it back to me sooner. Did anyone have to send their LP back to Moog? How long did it take for repair? :(
