A fuzz/distortion is almost the last thing I would imagine Moog making, but now that you mention it, I always thought it might be cool to have a voltage controlled fuzz, where you could send an envelope to the distortion level and have it follow your guitar picking...slowdive wrote: I think it would be really cool to have a fuzz/overdrive mooger, particularly if it was based on Bob's previous design. Apparently Bob had mentioned something about this fuzz to Mike once. It would be amazing to see this get implimented.
If you had the oportunity to choose...Which one...(Moog)

I have a bunch of Fuzz pedals (I'm really a guitarist), and I have to say, the Maestro MFZ fuzz is absolutely one of the best I have ever heard. And it sounds really good combined with the voyager. Makes tremendous fuzz bass lines. If you read the reviews on harmony central, almost everyone loves this fuzz. There is also the "Fuzztain" in the same pedal line, which combines a fuzz circuit with a sustainer, and there is also a filter pedal (can't remember the name) that offers overdrive and fuzz combined with filtering.eric coleridge wrote: A fuzz/distortion is almost the last thing I would imagine Moog making, but now that you mention it, I always thought it might be cool to have a voltage controlled fuzz, where you could send an envelope to the distortion level and have it follow your guitar picking...
I find this interesting for several reasons, 1) it's really the only distortion circuit I know of Bob designing, 2) Mike Adams showed interest in obtaining these pedals, and 3) I own the MFZ and it sounds great.
