MF102 Ring Mod as VCA

I was reading an article on the MF102 and found an application for the Ring Mod that I wasn't aware of:

If you send an audio source to the audio input and a control source (env or lfo) to the "carrier" input of the 102, it will function as a VCA.

Huh. I haven't tried that combination out. I think I'll see what happens when I do that right now. I think I read that article, but I must have missed that. Thanks for the tip! From what I can tell, the 102 is the most versatile of the foogers.
