quick lil update :)

Post by CTRLSHFT » Thu Aug 31, 2006 10:16 pm

so here's what it looks like thus far (pardon the horrible digicam), still waiting on my tabletop racks and the LP is still on backorder, but:

Image

[101 | 102 | 102]
[cp-251 | cp-251]
[104 | 103 | 105]

here's a few demos of some beats i made looping sequentially through all the units, if you're curious as to how cool some of this stuff can sound together:

test one: http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?a ... D41459FFF6

test two: http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?a ... EF0DEACDC0

incidentally: racking two CP-251's is a PAIN IN THE A$$. The power supply wires are BARELY long enough to reach the 2 prong power jack you have to disconnect and reroute to the back of the rack unit, and for one of the power jacks, it's nigh impossible to see or reach the jack with the wire length available. it took me literally a halfhour to fiddle it into the jack and enclose the rack because of the limitation of the short power jack wiring.

just thought i'd share in case you wanna try this.

Those were fantastic! I didn't know I could listen to a beat for so long, but I did! I didn't know where it was going next. In this way, it was like a sonic rollercoaster: I was up; I was down; I was spun around.

There you go, you can put that on a shirt: "I made the sonic rollercoaster." Or maybe not. That would be a stupid shirt.

In summary, lose the lame shirt and keep the wicked beats.
What does this button do?

LP Stage II, Dead Prodigy, Juno 60, MF-101 & 102, CP-251, guitars, bass, banjo, and the almighty glockenspiel/melodica combo

yeah the wait is killing me! i really hope they focus next on a osc/env gen/amp fooger, it'd be mega cool to be able to control em all with the phatty and route some seriously huge sound around.

doubling up is not neccesary i guess, but i find the 102 and cp-251 units to be the most useful for control purposes, so i got two of each. stereo ring mod is pretty cool, too!

i'd suggest putting the s950 above or below the cp-251(s). don't put anything above the fooger pedal rack if can help it, otherwise you'll have no room for the patch cables. this is especially pertinent with an open rack like the one here.
