Some of those colors are so cool, I'm wondering why it doesn't come in them all ready.

What about "arctic white" with such a smooth surface just touching it leaves scratches. Then Moog could sell clear slip covers.

Yeah, that'd be the iPod edition. Just pulling it out of the box will scuff it like beachsand.

I wonder if the Little Phatty will follow the Model T design aesthetic "Any color as long as it's black," or if we'll see some new colors and materials eventually.

I would change the arrows next to the pitch and Mod wheels, The fact that the "Stage" edition will have plastic siding, and maybe a few more keys to take up that extra space near the wheels.

I've also moved the wheels over, added a few more keys so it starts at "A" like a piano, and I've given each oscillator its own knob.

I'd add CV outs. It's completely unthinkable to me that the thing doesn't have CV outs on it. When it was first announced, I was immediately enthused and planned to get one as a CV controller/expander for my modular setup. It's just crazy for it to have so many CV inputs, especially for such a limited synth, but to have no outputs!

it's because it's so limited with modulation that they included those cv ins, without them you'd have to open the thing up and mod it to get the filter with S/H, extra lfo or noise or whatever. pitch, filter freq and volume are the most important aspects of the sound that you would want to modulate, and if they didn't have the inputs you would have been limited to the internal modulation, which imo would suck (it would still be a cool synth but you couldn't upgrade it with a cp251)

now i'm not saying i don't want cv outs (that and a pre filter loop would make this synth perfect) but you can get them using a midi-cv converter, which i intend to do
it would be nice to have outputs already on the thing but that would have driven the price up, and every little bit counts, they had to stop somewhere other wise they would have just made yet another edition of the voyager

the onlly thing i wish they'd left in, is the pre filter loop. if you had that you could do so much more to the tonal quality of the sound by using parametric eq and that sort of thing on the osc/ext input, before the filter got its dirty little hands on them. but you can't have everything (but one thing you can have is CV outputs with the aid of a midi-cv converter)

Unthinkable? The much more advanced Voyager dosen't even have CV outs, why would the less expensive synth have em?

The LP is what it is and thats why people are eatin' em up... CV outs would definitely add a big upcharge.. It would be great to have em, but how many Moogs (other than Modulars) have CV outs? I don't think many of them do.

The Prodigy, Rogue, Source, Micro and Multi all have CV/S-Trig outs. The Rogue has S-Trig and Gate outs.

I'm thinking since there are CV/Gate inputs on the LP, maybe it could be modified to have CV and Gate out. You could put them on the unused right side panel.

It shouldn't be that difficult to make a breakout box that offers divide-down polyphony for the LP. And the LP doesn't really need three oscillators. The oscillators it has are pretty strong.

Has been discussed to death. The general consensus is that while aftertouch would be great, it would add significant cost to the LP. The LP was intended to be a bare-bones Moog to allow the masses access to the Moog sound. Granted, it's gotten more expensive since I bought mine, but it is still a bare-bones Moog that is hundreds less than even a used Voyager.

On a more universal scale, I don't understand why I cannot have a mod amount on a patch without the mod wheel dictating how much.

You can. Put mod wheel all the way up. Then adjust the amount with knob in the modulation section and save the patch.
