Cheers from the SquareWave team!
It's getting closer - production for the Little Phatty synthesizer starts this month. This means the wait will soon be over for the Moog faithful, some of whom placed their orders even before the MusikMesse (where the 'LP' was introduced) came to a close.
This might be a good time to mention our new 'Phatsound' web site, which will offer the same benefits as the SquareWave site: patches, tips, tricks and performance advice, MP3 sound clips, photos and related links. Check out Phatsound at:

In the meantime, here's what's new for Voyager owners on SquareWave

July 2006 SquareWave
-----------------------------------------------------------------
How'd They Do That Folder:
Seeing Keith Emerson on tour and at Moogfest got us feeling pretty nostalgic about the venerable Moog Modular synth. So much so that we were inspired to do a bit of Voyager and MIDI sequencer programming to recreate the classic sequence that appears at the end of 'KarnEvil 9'. You know the one...
Download 'KE9 Ending.zip' to get the Voyager patch and the MIDI sequence to drive it, along with the programming notes.

Monthly Mashup Folder:
Speaking of Keith Emerson, he also was the inspiration of this month's mashup patch, which is based on a couple of Voyager organ presets. We combined the 'Hip Hop B3' and 'Hammond B5' patches (with a bit of tweaking) to come up with a new Voyager 'B3' organ preset we call "Emo's Revenge". (One SquareWave team member who auditioned this preset says it's the best Hammond patch he's ever heard on a Voyager!)
---
Voyager Patches Folder:
Mark Walker (thebedroom23) created and posted a superb organization of the Voyager factory patches. Using the Voyager Editor software combined with the new sound category feature in OS 3.2, he organized all the sounds in the Voyager factory banks by category and created new banks from the result. The banks are posted in both SysEx and Editor formats. Mark also created patch sheets for each preset, and posted those as well. A tremendous effort (thanks Mark!). Look for the presets and patch lists in the 'Voyager Patches Organized' folder.
When SquareWave team member NeverEnoughGear heard we were on an 'organ' kick this month, he got inspired and created a few Voyager 'organ' patches of his own. Look for his new creations in the NEG folder.
