Texas Repairmen?

Post by asianinvasion » Thu Jun 15, 2006 7:28 pm

Anyone know of any synthesizer repairmen in or around Lubbock, TX?

I own an MG-1 and no matter how I set the controls, I seem to only be able to get the generic keyboard organ sound. I can always hear more than one note at a time , even if the polyphony is at 0. The whole contour section doesn't affect the sound at all. When sync is "out," I get a constant sound that's really annoying. Auto contour trigger does nothing that I've found so far. Anyone know of any suggestions?

Here is one diagnosis I received:

"Hmmm...it *could* be the envelope generator or keyboard circuitry, and then there's something weird with the polyphony because it won't be quiet. The problems may be related (a short), or they may not be. But this is only a guess. It sounds like your oscillators are working (at least one of them anyway) and the filter works."
