Recommended Distorsion pedals/vst for Minitaur

Hi!

I´ve been struggling when trying to add distorsion to my Minitaur using a Big Muff pedal. It sounds great isolated but when I add the rest of instruments, it´s hard to notice any distorsion at all. Which distorsion pedal/vst would you recommend instead?
