Modulation Oscillator Frequency barely modulatable

Post by digitaleyes » Sun Jul 27, 2025 8:24 am

The Modulation Oscillator's frequency is barely modulatable. I want an envelope to modulate the frequency of this oscillator. However, it can only be modified by a minor amount. At full modulation, the frequency will double, at best, where I would expect 100% modulation across the entire frequency span.

In my video, I use the macro knob, set to 100% modulation of the Modulation LFO's frequency.

Has anyone else noticed a weakness in this mod destination parameter?

Yes, the mod map you set up only doubles the frequency of the Mod Oscillator. However, to get a further range you can set the "function source" to scale. The scale value will double the frequency (one octave) at about 14.34, at about 100.00 the frequency should go up about 7 octaves. To get an even further range create a duplicate mod map this should get to around a 14 octave range (theoretically). Change the mod map(s) source from macro to an envelope.
