Filter sweep, loudness drop/increase around 8-12k?

Post by shhh23 » Sun Mar 09, 2025 8:27 am

Can you do me quick favor and run a simple FILTER sweep, either manually or with an ENV? I'm experiencing a weird bump in loudness around 8-12k with a 3 db drop going higher / increase going lower. Sounds really odd to my ears as none of my other ladder filters does this. Almost like something else is modulating the FILTER or VCA…?!

Running a basic INIT patch. Filter 2 at around 50 Hz. ENV Amt to the right. Filter ENV DECAY at max.

Thanks.

It's not just you. Here's a post on how it can be modified to behave normally. Why Moog chose to do this on the Muse/Matriarch and Grandmother is beyond me.
