Subharmonicon clock issues

Post by 2ndchildhood » Fri Aug 28, 2020 8:20 am

Hello,
I'm having two issues when trying to sync my Subharmonicon to a master clock.

Scenario 1: Electron Analog Rytm (midi out) -> Midi adapter -> Subharmonicon (clock IN)

The problem: Subharmonicon has trouble staying in sync. It's a dynamic lag as shown in this video: https://youtu.be/S7W5phmjELQ

Scenario 2: Electron Analog Rytm (midi out) -> Korg Prologue (midi in) and then Korg Prologue (sync out) -> Subharmonicon (sync in)

The problem: Subharmonicon is playing very slow but in sync. I think the Subharmonicon halves the BPM. Check out this video: https://youtu.be/Cq0Md8m_Bfw

I have no sync issues at all when syncing my Korg volca beats (sync out) with my Subharmonicon (clock in). That is the only synchronization scenario that has ever worked for me in combination with the Subharmonicon.

you doing it wrong i guess. you need to use the midi in and not clock in. the AR is sending out midi data ( a protocol) and with it midi sync and no clock pulses via midi. the clock in is waiting for clock pulses. if you use the Midi out the clock in misinterprets the midi signals. I dont have a korg, but sync out sends for sure clock pulses and no midi data.

Hi 2ndchildhood, did you ever resolve this? I'm also having the same issues.
