Issues with Subsequent 37

Post by tonyhicks » Fri Aug 23, 2024 5:54 am

Hello,
My Subsequent 37 is having a technical issue. The Filter Cutoff poti is broken, I had issues with headphones noise, and now the OSC 2 filter selector also stopped working. In addition to that, as of yesterday night, I can't get it to sync up with my DAW anymore. I tested with a couple of machines, but I got the same result. The synth's received clock is, for some reason, always a few bpm off when syncing the arpeggiator, so it just doesn't match up with my DAW.

Is there anyone experiencing the same sync issue? How to fix this?

Might be a firmware problem, but with all these unrelated symptoms, I suspect you might face a control board or main board exchange. IIRC the control boards needed replacing on my Sub37 before it was fully upgraded to Subsequent internals and keyboard.

Question: Is the synth fully controllable via MIDI/USB? If yes, it’s most probably component failure on the control boards.
