Moog Muse is out
Moog Muse is out
Well the next “big” Moog and first major InMusic product is out, The Muse.
Seems like perhaps an 8 voice, scaled back Moog One? I need to read the articles, but it’s both exciting and scary, as far as future support of the One.
Hopefully the next One firmware will fix 90% of what we needed. We’ll see.

Re: Moog Muse is out
If by "scaled back Moog One" you mean , a very expensive Behringer .... yes you are right
I hope the buyers of the muse realise they will have the same really bad experience as the moog one , matriarch, grandmother owners, when it comes to firmware updates
releasing this after the polybrute 12 , Udo S gemini , nina ,,,, is a joke

Re: Moog Muse is out
Is the Moog Muse a good synth? The only polyphonic Moog I ever had was the PolyMoog Keyboard back in the day. How do you think it compares to the OBX8? I’m interested in the Sequential Prophet 5 Rev 4 but saw the recent release of the Moog Muse for about the same price. I already have the OBX8. The only Moog I have is the Moog MiniMoog Voyager. I always thought Moogs forte was monophonic synths. And Sequential and Oberheims forte was polyphonic synths even though they have all offered polyphonic and monophonic offerings. Hopefully there wont be any quality control issues with the Moog Muse as there was with the Moog Voyager. Moog makes great synths but has QC issues. Hopefully now that Moog is under a new ownership those days of poor QC is over.
Re: Moog Muse is out
I like the sound of the Moog Muse. Like the fact that is 8 voice polyphony and bitimbral and has stereo outs.
The audio demos sounded good I’m just wary of the build quality QC since I have a voyager that has issues

Re: Moog Muse is out
If you had to choose between the Sequential Prophet 5 Rev4 and the Moog Muse which would you choose and why? Thanks
Re: Moog Muse is out
Well I thought this a was a pretty good review and demo of the Muse. By someone who owns and loves the Moog One, and has done some killer presets for the One.

Re: Moog Muse is out
I’ve seen that demo before.
Re: Moog Muse is out
It will be interesting to see if the Moog Muse will be successful for Moog. Years ago the PolyMoog Synthesizer was 5 K and I read was considered a flop. I used to have the PolyMoog Keyboard back in the day. It was a less expensive and wasn’t as programmable as the PolyMoog Synthesizer. The PolyMoog Keyboard
was the only polyphonic synth I ever had that was a Moog.
Re: Moog Muse is out
I'll choose the Muse because it's stereo and I love the sound.VCO wrote: Thu Aug 01, 2024 9:02 pm If you had to choose between the Sequential Prophet 5 Rev4 and the Moog Muse which would you choose and why? Thanks![]()
I own a Prophet V rev3 since back in the days. It has a beautiful smooth and sexy sound. Rev4 is a wonder as well adding velocity and aftertouch.
But I can't understand why Sequential still makes monophonic synths.
