Oh man that is like a hidden treasure. WHatever you do hang on to it because if you ever thought that you woudl be interested in music at some point in your life you woudl regret parting with it.
KEEP IT KEEP IT KEEP IT.

It is a rare synth that can fetch 1000 on ebay. THe longer that you hold on to it the better. If you do'nt have a clue to what Moog is then you should really experiment with that thing and listen to its wide range of sounds.
Have you managed to come across the original box or owners manual?

Wow you know earning money is one thing. WInning money is another but when you find money thats probably the ultimate!

My father got a MicroMoog as a gift many years ago. Please do yourself a favor and keep that Multi!

If you r son is a guitar player then keep that thing and perhaps one day if your son shows interest he will become a Moog connessiur like alot of us on thei board.

yeah keep it, it's always good to have a really cool synth lying about even if you don't play it that much, try to find a manual and learn about analog synthesis,

keep it in good condition as well.

but most of all have fun with it!

Congratulations on your find.
Multimoogs were released in 1978, one year after Bob Moog left Moog Music/Norlin, and I've heard there were only 1000 made, starting with SN 1001.
Hopefully you'll keep it and play it. It is better for the electronics that it be played. Capacitors can dry out or leak if not powered, etc...
But you won't have any trouble selling it if that's what you choose, especially if it's clean and still in tune.
Can you post any photos?
