Matriarch FR: Capture ARP as Sequence

Post by willthemoor » Wed Feb 03, 2021 12:22 am

I really really love the way you can hold notes to create long/intricate/weird/etc "arpeggio" patterns on the Matriarch. Once I got my head around it, I found myself using the ARP way more often that the Sequencer just because it's so musical and fast to set up a pattern. Alas, you can't save ARP patterns or transpose them(or use the ratchet, etc). No idea if this is remotely possible via firmware update but man, I'd love some shortcut along the lines of "Record the current ARP notes to a sequencer slot".

Hi willthemoor,
This might not be as slick but it gets you there today:
1)Record your awesome ARP pattern with an external sequencer or DAW
2)Stop the pattern & arm the Matriarch sequencer
3)Record the pattern back into the Matriarch
Its also a great way to load complicated external patterns.
