On my MF 102 Ring Modulator (it is the "50th Aniversary) edition, the power for expression pedal use is NOT shorted when using the other other ouputs with a normal mono cable. Although it says in the manual the pedal power will be shorted when using the other outputs with normal mono cables, I have found this not to be the case in practice.
This makes it very useful for using the carrier oscillator or LFO outputs (or both) as pedal controled LFOs on other synths with applicable inputs.
Has anyone else found this to be true with any other MFs?
This is not the case with my MF 103 Phaser (also 50th Aniversary edition). It does short out pedal power when I insert mono cables in any of the jacks.
I know that it is possible to modify a stereo cable to use with the jacks so that it doesn't short out the pedal power, but this seems a little complicated and involves cuting open delicate cables.
Has anyone modifed a stereo cable for this use?
shorting the power for expression pedals???
