Oh god, I meant I don't know what significance the numbers are, whether they are millimetres, or degrees or whatever. :(

For your specific purpose consider them as indicating cadelas per light year.

Sorry, I made the mistake of thinking that you were actually putting out feelers for some knowledge.

OK - relatively simple concept.

Let's take a specific Voyager "knob" - Filter Spacing.

The actual knob scale is marked out from -3 to +3 in O.5 increments.

The Filter Spacing parameter as an internal value is displayed (on the LCD) as a signed integer, -128 to +128.

Hence, -128 on the display = -3 on the knob and +128 on the display = +3 on the knob. Ideally, 0 on the LCD display will be 0 on the knob with all intermediate values on the display being in proportion to the scalings displayed around the knob (not necessarily true in practice though due to legend printing accuracy).

This explains the relationship between knob scale legends and displayed parameter values.

For a description of the specific Voyager controls you will need to see the User Manual.

For any further help on what the different controls mean in relation to analogue synthesis you will need to do some research (although some, filter spacing for example, are Voyager specific).
