New feature in OS 3.2

Post by GregAE » Tue Apr 11, 2006 3:28 pm

A new feature that wasn't mentioned in the OS 3.2 User Notes is a change in the way the External Audio Input knob works:

When the Ext Input Switch is ON, the Ext Audio knob functions as a volume control.

When the Ext input Switch is OFF, the Ext Audio knob will scroll through the bank presets. You still need to press ENTER after dialing up the desired preset.

This change has eliminated PANEL Menu 2.2, formerly called 'Ext Audio Pot' in OS 3.1, which allowed you to switch the preset scrolling feature using the Ext Audio knob ON or OFF. The new feature, as described above, is now always active.

Cool! That's a lot more user-friendly than the old way.

Thanks for pointing it out, Greg!

And thanks to you too, Rudi! Excellent job on v3.2!

Also.. My little idea was incorporated as an "easter egg" of sorts !

Press Master, scroll to copyright info, press enter, press +1. When in Factory setup mode, scroll to "Power on screen", select "Use old Voyager Boot screen" press enter, reboot and enjoy the new boot screen. Thanks to Rudi and Til for making it happen !

:D

It was a pleasure to do !

And infact it wasn't that hard to do. It just needed a shareware paint program and some time. And of cause Rudi doing the hard part (putting the .bmp into the OS) of this and all other great updates and new features. I really hope they pay you well, Rudi.

My name is written with a double "l" unlike the very famous german actor Til Schweiger. "Till" with double "l" is way more common here. But anyway, it isn't a that often heard name here at all. But you are not the only one that got it wrong. So no worries.
keep on turning these Moog knobs

Prodigy * minimoog '79 * Voyager * MF102 * MF103 * MF104z * MP201 * Taurus 3 * Minitaur * Sub Phatty * MF105 * Minimoog 2017+ MUSE * One 16 (sold)
